DIY dairy-free parmesan from plants

You can actually make a dry parmesan-style topping from plants! This delicious savoury flavouring is surprisingly easy to create.

I recently made this plant-based (almost whole-food-plant-based) ‘parmesan’ when I wanted to flavour my pasta. The penne was in a simple sauce with tomato. I wanted extra texture and taste.

I have a Thermomix so that is what I used to mix these ingredients. You could use a food processor or mini mixer. I used approximate quantities of walnuts, iodised salt, nutritional yeast and garlic powder. It was that easy!

Everyone should try this simple technique. It is wonderfully tasty and great for wellness.
