Spiritual Wellbeing
I have been exploring spiritual routines and concepts. You could ask your own questions about spirituality this year so that you can be powered by meaningful purpose in your holistic journey. It could also help mental health and clarity.
Holistic Communities and Gatherings
Women’s circles are apparently more of a trend now. I feel keen to find a full moon circle in 2023. It would need some flexibility with minimal commitment because everyday life is unpredictable. I participated in an online spiritual circle earlier in the pandemic. Now I feel almost ready to visit a local circle.
Meanwhile, I have been involved with vegan social groups to simply have a picnic or eat at a cafe. My personal connection with veganism does not currently involve public activism. I enjoy peaceful ways to avoid cruelty, improve my health with whole plants and reduce my environmental impact. I love to catch up with people who share these values.
Retreats
More holistic wellness leaders are hosting retreats. The world gained more freedom to travel last year. At the same time, we adjusted to a busy ‘new normal.’ It was an ideal time for wellness followers to temporarily escape into serene mindful getaways. This trend is likely to continue in 2023, to ease the pace and pressure of life.
Authenticity
As with recent years, 2023 should continue the era of authenticity. Tell your story. Develop your real creative abilities and interests. Look beyond the traditional expectations that limited previous generations.
Health and Wellness Technology
I am barely scratching the surface of technology for wellness, at least in my own understanding. The youngest generation is growing up with a metaverse. Virtual and augmented realities are developing - but how will they influence our experiences of holistic services? However these innovations evolve, let’s remember to be conscious of our tangible surroundings.
Mushrooms
Have you explored mushrooms and products that use these fungi? You can grow your own mushrooms. Alternatively, look for different kinds of mushrooms at your local farmers’ market or coop.
Reducing Alcohol
I pretty much don’t drink. I sipped a couple of cocktails in a busy week and felt worse afterwards. I will not say I never drink, but it is heading in that direction. Pink Lotus teaches that alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer. I also found a podcast about how alcohol shrinks your brain.
Clean Eating
Choose organic food when possible. Avoid additives. Read the ingredients lists when you buy pre-made foods at the supermarket. Eat mostly whole plants. Do your version of clean eating.
