How to make healthy popcorn

You can make popcorn that is good for you. It’s a whole grain that can support wellness. Control the amounts of oil or salt - whether you want a bit or none. Your homemade popcorn could be organic, too.

You need snacks that are more natural than the microwave bags of additive-covered stuff.

Choose natural popcorn kernels

Does it get more natural than the Honest to Goodness organic popcorn kernels?

Use a popcorn maker or the stovetop

I relied on a pot on a stove for a while. But I needed to be more precise with the timing and temperature. You can do it, but I now prefer an easy popcorn maker. Life is complicated enough. Let’s keep it simple for snacks.

Use healthy seasonings and toppings

Get inspired by the flavours you would have seen at the shops. What would you mix with nutritional yeast for a dairy-free cheesy flavour? How would you melt dark chocolate to coat popcorn? Some say the antioxidants are good. You can turn to the experts for that. All I know is that I enjoy natural chocolate. I would barely drizzle a teaspoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt on my bowl of popcorn. Either way, the possibilities are endless.
