Knowing Your Value
I learned from personal experience to value myself, my opinions, time, resources and my place in the world. You can be inspired by these ideas to value yourself and feel more confident.
You are more capable than you realise.
You have unique experiences, knowledge and abilities. There is also potential to grow and evolve. Our perceived potential can be shaped by our frame of reference. Growing up, I was surrounded by book-smart people who were better at math and other traditional standards. I was seen as the type who inherently couldn’t learn particular things. But I gave everything a try in my adulthood. So much of our success is dependent on our effort and smart decisions like outsourcing to the right people.
Your opinions and emotions really do matter.
When you know that you know something, that should be acknowledged. When your gut says things are right or wrong, you need to listen to that and surround yourself with people who will hear you.
You deserve to be nourished and nurtured.
Everyone must redefine what is essential and what is an optional luxury. Your physical body deserves healthy habits because we only have one body in this life. Repairs and healing can happen to some extent. But prevention is better than hoping for cures.
Your time is precious.
Whoever we are, we have the same minutes in the day and an unknown amount of years on this earth. When we dedicate time to serve others, it should be appreciated. When we have time for family, how can we be present in those fleeting moments?
