Mother’s Day Treats and Comforts

I recently saw a poster for Mother’s Day at the post office. It featured supposedly rewarding products such as a kitchen scale. As much as I enjoy cooking, those gifts seemed to give mothers additional domestic tasks after society has already expected a disproportionate domestic workload. Bravo. In a more comforting alternative, I now applaud the gifts that aim for pampering and relaxation. It may be typical. However, it lets us slow down in a world that is always moving. This is why I am grateful to share some ideas for Mother’s Day products that give a mum time to be mindful.

Scents for the air

Bring your focus to an essential oil when overcoming feelings of overwhelm in transit, pausing for a moment at home or preparing for a mindful practice.

Nourishing skincare

As the weather cools and the air dries in Australia, moisturising products can feel like a reviving comfort.

Caring for dry hands

Explore the hand creams from Grown Alchemy.

For a bath

Have a moment in a bath at home, or maybe at a serene AirBnb.

Bath Soak

Soothe the skin and soul with a salty soak.

Bath Bomb

Fizzle a floral bath bomb into the water to feel essential oils in a nourishing form.

Homewares for the Soul

Platter supplies

Gather a wooden chopping board, olives and toppings. Pair with organic fruits, vegetables and dairy-free cheese.

Artistic beverage cup

Select a creative cup for hot beverages, such as the Kim Wallace takeaway cups. A beautifully boho cup uplifts the mood in a different way.

Digital Gift Card

We all know someone who has very specific desires for gifts. They show the most delight when choosing their own presents. The easiest solution may be a digital gift card. It allows freedom and flexibility, in a plastic-free method.
