Plastic Free July

Eco

Have you tried Plastic-Free July?

Reducing plastic is a step in a better direction. Fully zero-waste lifestyles are a great ideal. However, if that seems like a lot in your everyday life, you can at least refuse single-use plastics when possible.

Refuse unnecessary plastics

If there is one thing you can change, start by skipping the disposable plastic produce bags in the fruit and veg area of the supermarket. It’s not needed or beneficial. There is even less need for plastic bags on thick-skinned plants such as bananas and pineapples. Say ‘no’ to unnecessary plastics.

Reusables

Switch from single-use to reusables, ideally plastic-free. Huskee cups are an alternative to disposable coffee cups. Cotton shopping bags are more natural.

Plastic-Free Products

In the kitchen, go for bamboo or stainless steel instead of plastic. Choose metal utensils such as the basic slotted spoon.

Plenty of bathroom products can be replaced with eco options. Stainless steel safety razors last longer and save the planet. You can get a ‘soap bar’ for shampoo, conditioner and facial cleanser.

To celebrate Pastic-Free July, ecostore is giving away free volumising shampoo bars with orders while stocks last.

Start wherever you can

You can do your best. Don’t become anxious and perfectionist. Just get started and think about reducing plastic wherever you can.
