Where to find stylish vegan boots

I love my Rollie vegan boots. I have been wearing them for more than a year. When I struggled to find an identical replacement, I had a goal. A mission. I need to find durable, versatile cruelty-free ankle boots. They must be comfortable enough for a walk around the city centre but sleek enough for semi-formal events. My life is diverse and complicated. On a regular day, I don’t want to put mental energy into what goes on my feet. I need one solution that can handle everything until the weather warms up too much for enclosed footwear.

Here is my list of vegan-friendly boots. I included a few that I would not wear because other people may need to know about them. However, most of these pairs are my sort of style. Some are even made from sustainable alternatives to plastic for further sustainability.

This article includes brands that are not affiliated or paid. I want to share any products that fit the criteria regardless of what I gain from mentioning them.

Matt & Nat

LIMAN Women’s Vegan Flat Boots

Zip up this pair and walk through town in style. The one-inch heel is flat enough to keep steady and get on with the day. These shoes are made with biodegradable material. Follow the care instructions and use the brand’s shoe protector to make the pair last longer.

ZUKE Women’s Vegan Chelsea Boots

The chunky pair looks a bit more tough and have a contrasting look. There’s a thicker sole from toes to sole.

MIRRA Women’s Vegan Combat Boots

Despite the name, these shoes look peacefully comfortable. Let’s hope Matt & Nat may stock more of this style in the future.

Will’s Vegan Store (London)

Luxe Smart Chelsea Boots

These chic boots are so sustainable I need to quote the great facts from their website, “Created with Italian vegan leather made with plants using bio oil sourced from organic cereal crops grown in Northern Europe in a carbon neutral process.”

Waterproof Chelsea Boots

Consumers have been wearing this pair of waterproof footwear in puddles and streams since 2018.

NAE - Trina Vegan Boots from good.eco

These lace-up boots look perfect for a rainy day. They remind me of the television character Daria or her best friend, Jane.

Velvety

Vegan Chelsea Black Vegea Boots by Bohema

You can pre-order these boots as they are handmade in Poland. What is grape leather? It is what they are made from. This style is a modern interpretation of the timeless shoe to wear anywhere.

DOGO

Have you ever considered boots that have flowers or Frida Kahlo’s face? Or both? Have a look at the Beauty in the Broken and A Flower From The Past pairs.

Dr Martens

When vegans discuss boots, Dr Martens nearly always get a mention. The 1460 style is more well-known. I prefer a more gentle look. But this iconic brand deserves attention.

Blundstone 2115 Women’s Originals Vegan Boots in Black

This brand appeared repeatedly in my online search. So I’m including it in the list. These pull-on boots are durable and water-resistant. When footwear is made to last in various conditions, the shoes are perfect for minimalists and anyone who needs versatility. I would like to know more about the sustainability of the materials before recommending this pair. If it’s what you can find, then you can at least trust that the pair will be cruelty-free.
