How to schedule social media content for free

If you want any sort of presence online, you might want to publish more content on social media. This can be pre-scheduled and ready to publish later. When doing this, you won’t need to click the button at the time when you want the world to see your content. You can set up various multimedia in advance and literally be doing something else when it goes out to the world. It doesn’t have to be expensive or cost any money at all. There are free ways to schedule content within social media platforms.

There are web sites and programs that will store posts and analytics for multiple social media channels under the one ‘roof.’ However, these usually cost money. It brings value for publishers who feel ready to spend a bit more. But if you want to save cash and slim the budget, stick with the free options.

Twitter

Did you know you can schedule tweets for later? You can do this within the Twitter web site. It’s quite simple. Write your tweet. Instead of clicking the “Tweet” button, look at the little icons underneath. There should be a little calendar and clock illustration. When you hover, you would see the word, “Schedule.” Click on the icon and choose a time. Easy.

Facebook and Instagram

I’m looking at Facebook pages for this purpose, not groups and profiles. This would be managed in the Facebook Business Suite. You can also publish to Instagram from that suite. It’s like magic. I previously thought I had to log into the mobile app to post an image or video on Instagram. That’s not the only way. I can send out posts to both of these places from the one tool.

The Facebook Business Suite shows the optimal times to engage with audiences on both Facebook and Instagram. You can either select those times or manually enter a preferred time when the content will be published.

Sit back and relax as your audience appreciates your content

After all your hard work, you can step away from the computer when your words and multimedia will appear to audiences. Reward yourself with a coffee. Mindfully have time with loved ones.
